AMC BMW Kaczor-Classic Battle of Twin
News from the classic racing scene
Altough up to the 2010 season is a bit of time and in the riders workshops is still some work to do with the racebikes or the sidecars for the this years season, but the AMC Schleizer Dreieck has news. The section Classic Racing of the AMC Schleizer Dreieck e.V. at the ADAC presented in 2010 a new racing class at two events.
BMW Kaczor - Classic Battle of Twin Thiss class in completely new in the racing scene with classic machines. The inventor of these class is Joseph Heft loves the brand BMW, specifically the Kaczor racing machines. Since 2007, he tried to give a separate Platform to the Kaczors at the Classic Grand Prix at the Schleizer Dreieck. For 2010, there is a separate competition for the Kaczors in the first time. Together with the two-cylinder engines, the BMW Kaczor will go to the start and of course, be judged separately.
The Category 1 – BMW Kaczor, modeled on the design developed by Ferdinand Kaczor. Thus, the few originals, and most of the newly built replicas can go together to the start.
The Category 2 – Classic Battle of Twin based on the years ago popular racing class Battle of Twin. In this class, drove in a international racing series BMW engines as well as Moto Guzzi and ducati engines. The series became uninteresting, when the Ducatis entered with 4-valves engines. The Category 2 – Battle of Twin is addressed to all Battle of Twin friends and to all two- cylinder four-stroke riders. With the exception of Krauser 4-valvers may run only machines based on 2-valve engines. The whole thing should be so easy as possible and necessary in the definition, this was one of the prerequisites for this new class. This class will start to the Classic Grand Prix on the Schleizer Dreieck from June the 25 – 27 in 2010 and to the Boerde Historic Grand Prix at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben from July the 17 – 18 in 2010. This new racing class will start at both events, when we get a goodly number of registrations / nominations.
Short description: Allowed are racing machines from the era: until 31.12.1985 Kategorie 1 BMW Kaczor up to 600cc without construction year limit, only reels mounted engines Kategorie 2 Classic Battle of Twin Engines up to 1050cc, 2 valves, Constructionyear limit 1985 Exemption are possible for BMW four-valve boxer like Kauser, or self-built, only in the case of the detection in the entry form.
